Vahe Manoukian

Vahe Manoukian is a Los Angeles based recording engineer, composer and sound supervisor for film and Television. His credits include, Classic Albums: Tom Petty and the Heart Breakers- Damn The Torpedoes, Not Another Teen Movie, Tenacious D, and many others.

In the 1980’s, Vahe became fascinated with recording so he invested in a portable 4-track cassette recorder. As time passed, he acquired the skills and professional gear to open his own studio, Nu-trapolis. This is where he’s been recording music for over 17 years. In 2003, Vahe joined BMI after getting his band Nu-tra’s first three singles on the feature film Dumb and Dumberer and Comedy Central. Vahe prides himself in being a partially self-taught engineer but also learned from the best: his friend Bob Casale, chief engineer of Mutato Muzika/Devo.
